Great food and service. Lots of fresh, local seafood! A Hilton Head staple!

Absolutely worth the wait! The seafood was incredibly fresh and full of flavor, easily some of the best we’ve had. It’s also dog-friendly, which was a huge plus for us. While the wait time was around 1 to 1.5 hours, they’ve made it easy to enjoy with a scenic spot to relax and take in the view, or grab a drink from the bar while you wait. Love their hush puppies! Great atmosphere, delicious food.

Hudson’s never disappoints. We sat outside at the bar which had ample shade and some fans that kept the heat in check. We decided to share the blackened combination platter which was a great choice. Everything was good perfectly and a standout was the deviled crab which was seasoned perfectly (I.e. not overloaded with poppers). We also tried the roasted oyster appetizer that was very tasty as well.

Its reputation speaks for itself. Food, service and vibe is phenomenal. The vibe of the space and the menu itself is definitely classic American seafood and it always delivers. Charging for hushpuppies gets a thumbs down, but they aren’t very expensive and are super delicious, so I’ll give them a pass. Just go ahead and get the large. They’re like tortilla chips they go down quick. All of the fried seafood is top-notch. You will pretty much always have to wait for a table, but if you go later, after 7 or so, the wait will be significantly shorter. Believe it or not, Hudson’s is not a tourist trap and is genuinely really good.

Hudson’s gets better every time I come back. The seafood is the freshest on the island, them menu has enough personality to separate itself from the rest of the HHI’s seafood restaurant offerings, and the service/atmosphere/friendly attitudes are second to none. However the highlight of the meal was the fantastic service we received from Greg! He was super knowledgeable about the menu and always steered us in the right direction! I would definitely return and request Greg!!!

Good service but she wasn’t overly patient with my questions. The seafood pasta came with some kind of red olive sauce which I chose Alfredo instead. Definitely made in house but extremely bland. I got 6 small clams, maybe 7 regular shrimp. They wanted 15 bucks to add a few scallops and more money to add a few mussels. I don’t mind paying a fair price for a fine dining experience with superb food. This was neither of those things but, the over all price wasn’t bad considering we paid the entire check for 8 people. The coconut shrimp was on point. Green tomatoes were extremely sour. I don’t think I would go back. Just my personal preference. It’s not quite my cup of tea; considering I love seafood. I feel like it’s more hype when it’s really just a seafood restaurant.
