Food so nice, we decided to go twice! The butter pecan french toast was chefs kiss. The fried chicken was good as were the garlic parmesan grits! The staff was super friendly and accommodating each time we visited.

A great spot to visit on river st, the food was great, but better than the food was our server (Crystal), she took her time and explained most of the things on the menu..

Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. My wife loves the Beignet’s… We had a party of 7 and were well taken care of with no problems. Our server was on her game and was tipped accordingly. We’ll be back!

We came to Huey’s for dinner on a Saturday evening, just before 5 PM. The restaurant wasn’t busy, and we were seated immediately by the beautiful front windows — a promising start. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. We sat unattended for a full eight minutes before anyone acknowledged us. No greeting, no “I’ll be right with you,” nothing. When our server, Charles, finally approached, we gave both our drink and food orders at once because we’d had ample time to look at the menu while waiting. Charles displayed zero personality throughout the interaction — no eye contact, no warmth, no basic hospitality. He dropped off our food, checked on us once, and then vanished. When I asked for a to-go box and bag, he brought them, then disappeared for another 18 minutes. We eventually had to flag down another employee just to get our check. When Charles reappeared, he brought a handheld card reader without any printed check. He said only, “The amount okay?” I responded, “Yup, looks fine.” As I reached to tap the card myself, he took it out of my hand and tapped it for me — then handed the card to my husband. The tip options began at 18%, which we begrudgingly selected, leaving over $10 despite the poor experience. When asked for a receipt, Charles sighed — audibly — and returned to shove it into my husband’s hand. No “thank you,” no “come again,” not even a basic goodbye. I think he said maybe 10 words total during our entire visit. To be clear, the food was good. But the service from Charles was unprofessional, unwelcoming, and downright rude. Everyone else we encountered seemed decent, but his behavior was enough to leave a bad taste in our mouths — and we’re locals. This experience certainly doesn’t make us want to return or recommend Huey’s to others.

It was very busy, though we were seated quickly. Lots of great options available.

Really awesome place to get some proper eggs Benedict. Beignets were delicious definitely go for the caramel pecan sauce option. My personal opinion this beignets are far superior if compared to Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans.
