My girlfriend and I came here on a Tuesday night excited to try the new seasonal changes to the menu. She ordered the clams, her go to favorite and I ordered the pork belly carbonara due to its description of classic preparation (egg emulsion with guanciale instead of cream and bacon or pancetta) with the addition of the piece of pork belly. Sadly the pasta was so bland but with an overwhelming taste of nutmeg. Not a speck of salt or pepper which is a huge part of this dish traditionally. Flavor aside the guanciale was gray, soft, sad and looked as though it was boiled rather than having the fat rendered and crisped. My bowl had a large pool of strong tasting oil sitting at the bottom. My friends clams also lacked any seasoning and had a strong oil flavor which is not normal for this establishment . Our server was quite busy so it took some time to be able to let her know our concerns. When she was finally able to come by our table I made her aware of the visible quality issues, I always think open communication is best in times like this, mistakes happen and so I was open and honest. She then took away my plate and promptly brought me my check, full price with no mention of the issues with the dish. The new menu and it’s specialty ingredients are lovely, but poorly executed. I wish the server would have at least addressed my concerns. All around they missed the mark.

Easy to overlook this restaurant because it’s part of the hotel but the food is amazing, well worth a visit

Great food, good service, and a wonderful virw

Great view, it’s located on the oregon side of the Columbia river. There’s usually a little wait time to be seated. There is inside and outside seating as well as a bar. Tables and booths. Food is primarily Italian but really good fish and chips. Prices are comparable to other restaurants in the area. Vegetarian selections too. It can also get a bit loud during busy times.

Excellent food at a good price. The portions were quite ample especially the kids’ Fish and Chips. I was especially pleased with the steak salad, it was practically two meals in one. The wait staff were attentive with a few exceptions. They certainly exceeded my expectations for Gen Z workers. (Sorry Zoomers, but where’s the burn, there’s fire, and I’m Lit). I’m looking forward to our next Hood River adventure so we can stop by for some more tasty food!

The food and service was pretty good, and the outdoor seating is really nice. We’d come back again.
